The Madden Golf Course is a municipal course that is suitable for all skill levels. The course was built on hilly terrain causing some elevation changes and uneven lies. The fairways are lined with trees and the average-sized greens are medium to fast in speed. Sand bunkers are present on the course and there are also water hazards that come into play on eight holes. The course starts with a challenging par-5, which requires an approach shot over a creek to a green that is well protected by a sand bunker in front. The Madden Golf Course facility also boasts a putting green and teaching pro.

Nice and Easy
First time playing here, was a good experience, two things though were the pace of play was slow and course wasn't really at busy (ranger was present but never saw him) and the horrible odor from the waste water treatment plant on the two or three holes (I think like 15-17). Other than that it was a fun course to play was in really nice shape even for a city course.
Great course for beginners!
The course is wide open, which is great for beginners like me. The green and tee boxes were in good shape, and the hole location on the greens made them fun and challenging to putt.

Nice course
nice course, bad neighborhood, fast fast fast greens. i didnt like how close each fairway is to the next, if you leave your fairway, you are on someone elses!
Wet & Wild
We played this course during a downpour. Weather cleared up with 3 holes left. This is a fun, wide-open course that I recommend playing when the weather is nice.

this course is challenging and forgiving
upon arrival the staff was very friendly.the front 9 is very challenging lots of hills and trees. The greens were sloped and very difficult and fast. The back 9 is very forgiving and open. I enjoy the course very much and would recommend it to anybody.

Great Deal. Great course
The greens were very fast which is the way I like them. This course is in excellent condition. The sand traps have more sand than other courses I have been playing and the grass is in great shape. I booked this tee time an hour before I teed off and the course had me on the list. Great deal!
Well kept greens and balls roll true.
This is a must play. Has some challenging holes and was not real busy on Sunday when I played.
Nice average course
Dayton muni course... about average overall... greens were well kept... fairways ok... most the par 4s are on the short side... significant elevation changes make some holes very interesting. Fairly tight layout in which you see the nearby holes and golfers. Adequate driving range with $4 buckets for warmup.

Madden was in great condition. Played the course in early spring and it was in spectacular shape.
The rough was playable, not too high. Sand traps were the only disappointment but in their defense it had been raining a lot lately.
Greens are small and challenging. At 6500 yds from the back tees the course still offered a challenge.
The staff was great and the deal I got on GolfNow was unbelievable. Overall, i look forward to playing Madden again. Was a super enjoyable round and we were never held up. I believe we played in around 3 hours for 18 holes. NICE
Nice quiet puplic course that is convenientally located.
Enjoy the rolling landscape and mature trees. The course can be set up to be very demanding.
This course is a good course for the money
This course is moderately challenging. The greens were maintained...the golf carts were in great shape...I'm a hacker but didnt lose a ball all day...the staff was friendly and accommodating.
The only down side was inexperienced staff in proshop
