Franklin Golf Club
About
Franklin Golf Course is a player-friendly, nine-hole course that is perfect for beginners. At 2,559 yards from the tips, the course plays to a par of 35. While the layout is not exactly a challenge, it does provide a quick round that is good for some practice. The bentgrass greens are well-maintained and putt true. There is no water on the course but there are a few strategically placed bunkers throughout. The hazards are nothing too serious though. The traditional layout has remained largely unchanged since opening in 1941. The golf course easily accommodates those who are new to the game but seasoned players looking for a challenging round will have to go elsewhere though the affordable rates are enough to appeal to any skill level.

really green greens
very few bad spots, greens were really nice, just very small, I would definitely play there often.
Wouldn't play again if it was free!
Played with my 9yr old son. By far the worst course I've ever played. The lady at the front desk acted like it was a burden to check us in. Couldn't tell the fairways from the rough. Holes almost crisscross, which caused constant yelling of 'four' from people. Took five hours to play. I could go on and on, but to make a long story short, I wouldn't play that course again if it were offered for free.
Lots of hills
This course sits in the middle of an urban area, but you don't realize it while you are playing. Each of the courses 9 holes have hills to navigate. These hills, tight fairways, and small greens make this a challenging course. The hills make for awkward lies even when you are in the fairway. There are many blind shots, so be aware where the group in front of you really are. The small greens were smooth and maintained very well. However, the tee-boxes are crude and marginally maintained. Hole 4/13 is tricky. It has two greens vice the two tee boxes that the other holes have. The price we got on Golfnow.com made this a great value for 18 holes.
Nice 9 hole course.
I didn't realize this was a 9 hole course when I booked, but we had a great price for 18 holes. We just played different tees the second time around. It was a little hilly but in good shape. I probably won't go back but that is because it is 50 miles each way.
This course is a terrible joke
The course was an outrageous joke, the tee box was not cut it, was equivalent to teeing up in the rough. The golf carts had barley any brakes you would do a 180 degree turn in the so called fairway numerous times. The hole locations are very confusing with no assistance at all, and to top it all off there was not yardage markers on the course. To be honest I could build a better course in my back yard.
this course will keep you thinking
was pleased with the course. greens was very nice, for the money you just cannot beat it, we will play it again. The only thing I would say that needs some attention is the directions to the correct green, couple of holes was difficult to tell now to go.
Get what you pay for
Big discount from Golf Now made its around $14/person for 18 holes w/ cart. Course is very hilly and can barely make out fairways on some holes.
great value,great people,nice course!
A very friendly experience! great conditions & very interesting landscape. Easy to play at a very relaxing pace of play. It is a great value for golfers of all skill levels. I really enjoyed both rounds ive played there and will continue to make it a course of choice!
Good bang for your buck
Paid 14 dollars for a kart and 18 holes. Its a nice looking course for the price. The server was friendly and attractive
great local hilly course
not too long in yardage, but a lot of hills and elevated greens.
early in the year, sand needs some attention. A great
value for the price.
Great for location and very challenging
This course is easily the best course in the area and the price is unbeatable. It provides a challenging landscape and some unforgiving greens but overall it is a must play for any level of golfer. My cheeseburger was also delicious and the faculty is great. However one must beware of rabid pitbulls that tend to hang around hole 9 green and around practice green, but i wore my helmet and water wings without going over par.
Fun, short, course
The course does a great job of playing with the hills and terrain present on the course. Some great chipping practice and short game emphasis while still letting you get in a few long range drives.
