The Kittyhawk Golf Course facility possesses three of only six municipal golf courses in the Dayton area. The Hawks Course is one of two regulation courses at Kittyhawk and there is also one executive course. The courses are very similar in landscape and challenge but the Hawks Course is the shorter of the two regulation courses. The terrain is flat with trees scattered throughout. The course is fairly open with fairways that are wide open and the greens are large with subtle breaks. Man-made lagoons create water hazards that come into play on fourteen holes and there are many sand bunkers as well.
