Forest Hills Country Club
About
Opened in 1918, Forest Hills Country Club is Middletown's oldest course and it is one of the oldest in the state. The course is nestled amongst mature native trees, running adjacent to the Great Miami River, which comes into play on a few holes. It is considered one of the best nine-hole golf courses in the Greater Dayton and Cincinnati area with a reputation built on its consistently good conditions Although it is short at just under 2,600 yards, there are sculpted bunkers that pack as much of a punch as any full-length course. The course is a great option for a quick round that still offers a challenge. Forest Hills Country Club also provides a great transitional round for beginning golfers looking for more than your average nine-hole course.

Nice track
This is a 9-hole so u play it twice but they give you 2 diff sets of tees to switch it up a little. All par 4's and 3's so it's a great tack to practice scoring on those types of holes. Fairly old school layout everything is right out front of you- some holes require all your shots to be good to make par or better/ if you can make low scores out here you will better your game using this mindset when you play a course with 5's. I did hot deal for 14 bones awesome deal. Enjoy it))
Unique
Loved this course. What it doesn't have in distance is made up for in sloped small greens, well placed trees and fast, rolling conditions. It was very fun
Forest hill
Everything with this course was good. Good place to work on short game.
Practice course
Good practice, par 3 and 4 , good greens, nice finishing hole over water.some really tough par 3's
Fun Course between farm fields
I lost about 15 balls in farmers fields or in the ponds but I sure did enjoy it. Mostly par 4 and 5 with a couple 3. The condition of the course could be improved. Overall I enjoyed the course, it was more challenging then most for me.
First time three putter
I'm a 60 year old golfer. I caddied on this course as a boy a couple times during the Middletown golf tournament years ago. The pro that I met here, was very very nice and so was the staff. I plan to either join the club or play here in the future. It's a tough 9 hole golf course.
The course need a makeover.
Seems like maintenance and upkeep have gone downhill sense last year.
100 yr old course! Love playing here!
You don't have to belong to the Country Club to play on this Beautiful 100yr old course. It is s nine hole par 3/4 with some long par 4's! Love the layout and the staff is very nice!
Maybe one day.....
Booked tee time for 12pm as a single. Been using golfnow since 2009 and I expect to be paired up. I showed up at 1125am to check in. The attendant tells me they have no carts available and will have one by 12. I go to the putting green...12 comes and goes and I was approached again and told that there are 2 6-somes out on the course (9 hole course) and he apologized for the wait. 1245 pm hits and finally a cart is available. I get sent out as a single and the 4 some in front of me wouldn't let me go through. Ended up running out of patience and leaving after 3 holes.
Maybe one day this course can be something but as of right now it's very disorganized. Be warned that they might not have a cart ready and 6-somes are a norm here.
Neat little course
It's a little older course. It's an executive nine with all 3s and 4s and they're all legit for such a small foot print. Greens are small but all make you think. It was playing soft but when it gets tough and fast ( fairways and greens) watch out . Try it out if you want a fast 9 around Middletown .
Forest Hills golf club
Took my 13 year old daughter for a round of golf, she is just getting back into golf after a couple year layoff and has been getting lessons and hitting at the range. This is a great course for the beginner and for practicing. 4 par fours and 5 par 3's that can be played twice from different tee boxes.
Course info
Some Hole number missing.so I lost next holes. And teashot point difficut find.
Great 9 Hole Course
This is a great starter course for players. It is compact. The conditions are great, hole selection was good. One thing to not is that you are often making sure you're not hitting into other players. The staff was very friendly.
A little outdated.
Wasnt a huge fan of this course. You get what you pay for. Overall decent experience.
A Diamond in the rought.
I have lived 10 minutes away from the place for 15 years and never knew it existed. Stopped in today on my way to somewhere else just to check it out. Was very pleasantly surprised. A very quaint, and tricky 9 hole course. Narrow and challenging, small greens. It's like stepping back in time 30 years. The conditions were great though, as they are just about everywhere from all the rain this year.
I am considering a membership, the place was wide open for a Saturday. I don't think I'd enjoy it if it was packed, but today it wasn't and it was one of the more enjoyable rounds of golf this year.
Not Worth The Money
9 holes, slow pace, bad condition, would not recommend
GREAT PEOPLE
FOR THE MONEY IS A OK COURSE AND THE STAF IS FRIENDLY. THE COURSE NEED LITTLE LOVE TO BE A GOOD 9 HOLE GOLF COURSE.
Excellent
It was a very awesome course to play. The greens were small and very tricky. It really tested your skills. I would and will play this course again!
